Drug and Marital Problems Intervention Project

0.00 Needed Donation

Women & family welfare and wellbeing is the central focus of Women in Da’awah. This is the main reason for our interest and concern on the current scourge of marital disharmony, divorce and drug addiction that is threatening to destroy the backbone and lifeline of our communities and the country in general.

The organization articulated a strategy through which we can make meaningful contribution to solving these two related problems. our intervention is in the form of setting up a committee comprised of experienced, knowledgeable and level-headed members who will have additional capacity to become helpers, listeners and provide guidance to women and youths who are facing general life problems including marital problems and drug issues.
We plan to set up an office where people can make appointments to come in and have a listening ear, have proper guidance on Islamic principles that guide marriage and relationships and benefit from experienced mothers and wives. For drug addiction,
lead such people to the appropriate place they can access help and treatment.
We have collaborated with professional psychologists, psychiatrists and NDLEA officials to organize training for members and sensitization programs to the public. We are also collaborating with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to benefit from their huge experience and valuable backup.
